About Kimberly
Kim was introduced to Acupuncture and Eastern Medicine when referred to a LAc for a low back injury, years ago. Through her initial experience, she quickly realized the profound effect that acupuncture could have on the body as a whole.
These personal benefits and the recognition of acupuncture’s ability to treat the totality of a person’s physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional health sparked a greater interest, and led her to California from Michigan to further her studies in eastern medicine. She continues to be captivated by acupuncture’s ability to achieve homeostasis in the body with minimal to no side effects.
Kim’s clinical specialties include pain management and sports medicine, stress relief, and the treatment of sleep disturbance, digestive disorders, and hormonal imbalance.

Understanding Acupuncture
A very fine needle is applied to the skin at specific points on the body. These needles give Acupuncture it’s name. The filiform needles are solid, as opposed to hollow hypodermic needles. Most people only feel a slight tingle from the needle. The needles are placed in specific locations to correct imbalances of “qi” or the life energy flow.
Most patients feel relaxed and refreshed after an acupuncture treatment. Many patients experiencing pain before the acupuncture session find their discomfort greatly reduced after the treatment. Relief from acute pain is one of the most common reasons patients seek this age-old treatment. Acupuncture can help with various other conditions such as: allergies, tension headaches, pregnancy related issues, depression and chronic fatigue syndrome.
